(Image : Pixabay.com)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Les 250 plus grands d\u00e9taillants du monde ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 un chiffre d'affaires total de 4,74 billions de dollars pour l'exercice 2018, ce qui repr\u00e9sente une croissance de 4,1% par rapport \u00e0 l'ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente. C'est ce que r\u00e9v\u00e8le l'\u00e9tude Global Powers of Retailing 2020 de Deloitte.<\/p>\n<h2>Les entreprises am\u00e9ricaines dominent...<\/h2>\n<p>Les premi\u00e8res places sont occup\u00e9es par les entreprises am\u00e9ricaines Wal-Mart, Costco et Amazon ; le g\u00e9ant du commerce \u00e9lectronique est pass\u00e9 \u00e0 la troisi\u00e8me place. Au cours de l'exercice 2018, les dix plus grandes entreprises ont repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 pr\u00e8s d'un tiers (32,2%) du chiffre d'affaires total du Top 250 (31,6% l'ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente). La croissance moyenne du top 10 a \u00e9t\u00e9 sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 la moyenne du top 250 : 6,3% contre 4,1%. La marge b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaire nette du Top 10 a \u00e9galement augment\u00e9 (de 0,5 point de pourcentage), et ce malgr\u00e9 la pression \u00e0 laquelle sont confront\u00e9s les d\u00e9taillants face \u00e0 une concurrence intense, \u00e0 l'augmentation des co\u00fbts de la main-d'\u0153uvre, aux guerres des prix et aux investissements dans le commerce en ligne.<\/p>\n<p>La majorit\u00e9 (136) des entreprises figurant dans le top 250 sont issues du secteur des biens de grande consommation (FMCG) et ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 pr\u00e8s des deux tiers (66,5%) du chiffre d'affaires du commerce de d\u00e9tail au cours de l'exercice 2018. Les d\u00e9taillants de FMCG ont g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 le chiffre d'affaires moyen le plus important (23,2 milliards USD). (Source : Deloitte)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>...mais la plus grande partie du top 250 vient d'Europe<\/h2>\n<p>La plus grande part des 250 premi\u00e8res entreprises est europ\u00e9enne. 88 entreprises (35,2%) sont originaires de la r\u00e9gion et contribuent \u00e0 hauteur de 34,4% au chiffre d'affaires total. Lidl et Aldi sont les plus grands d\u00e9taillants europ\u00e9ens et occupent respectivement la 4e et la 8e place. Avec un chiffre d'affaires moyen de 27,6 milliards de dollars, les plus grandes entreprises sont originaires des \u00c9tats-Unis (\u00e0 titre de comparaison, la moyenne du Top 250 est de 19,0 milliards de dollars).<\/p>\n<p>\"Si l'on consid\u00e8re la performance des plus grands d\u00e9taillants du monde sur une p\u00e9riode de cinq ans, les 250 premiers font preuve dans l'ensemble d'une \u00e9tonnante stabilit\u00e9. Les perspectives 2020 pour l'\u00e9conomie mondiale et le secteur du commerce de d\u00e9tail sont incertaines. La croissance \u00e9conomique sera probablement mod\u00e9r\u00e9e mais positive, la croissance des d\u00e9penses de consommation sera plus faible et l'inflation restera faible dans la plupart des pays\", explique Karine Szegedi, membre de la direction de Deloitte Suisse et experte en commerce de d\u00e9tail.<\/p>\n<p>Elle ajoute : \"En 2019, les chiffres d'affaires de la branche suisse du commerce de d\u00e9tail ont stagn\u00e9. Selon nous, il en sera de m\u00eame en 2020. D'un c\u00f4t\u00e9, les d\u00e9fis g\u00e9opolitiques et la force du franc suisse freineront probablement une croissance dynamique. Mais d'un autre c\u00f4t\u00e9, l'\u00e9volution positive continue des chiffres d'affaires en ligne devrait donner un coup de pouce aux d\u00e9taillants. L'\u00e9pid\u00e9mie de coronavirus pourrait \u00e9galement avoir un impact sur certains d\u00e9taillants suisses. Dans le secteur des produits de luxe et de l'horlogerie, les premiers effets se font d\u00e9j\u00e0 sentir, car la consommation en Asie est en forte baisse\".<\/p>\n<h2>Les d\u00e9taillants suisses dans le top 250 : Migros, Coop, Richemont et Dufry<\/h2>\n<p>Migros et Coop ont d\u00e9fendu leur place dans le top 50 : avec un chiffre d'affaires de 25,13 milliards de dollars pour l'exercice 2018, Migros reste \u00e0 la 39e place, tandis que Coop, avec un chiffre d'affaires de 23,47 milliards de dollars, a perdu deux rangs et se retrouve \u00e0 la 46e place. L'entreprise de produits de luxe Richemont, dont le si\u00e8ge est \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve, est entr\u00e9e pour la premi\u00e8re fois dans le top 100 ; le nouveau segment de vente au d\u00e9tail en ligne a notamment eu un effet positif sur la performance. Le d\u00e9taillant de voyages Dufry continue \u00e0 se d\u00e9velopper de mani\u00e8re remarquable. Avec un taux de croissance annuel impressionnant de 19,5% au cours des cinq derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es (2013-2018), Dufry (120e) est l'un des d\u00e9taillants \u00e0 la croissance la plus rapide au monde.<\/p>\n<p>\"2020 ne sera probablement pas une ann\u00e9e particuli\u00e8rement dynamique pour le march\u00e9 suisse du commerce de d\u00e9tail. Nous sommes toutefois prudemment optimistes et pensons que les d\u00e9taillants suisses pourront suivre le rythme des autres grands acteurs.
