Environ 5 millions de m\u00e8tres cubes de bois sont r\u00e9colt\u00e9s chaque ann\u00e9e dans les for\u00eats suisses. Sans que les for\u00eats soient surexploit\u00e9es, il serait possible d'en exploiter environ un tiers de plus.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Rencontres du genre bois<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La campagne de sensibilisation lanc\u00e9e par le secteur de la for\u00eat et du bois et l'Office f\u00e9d\u00e9ral de l'environnement (OFEV) est centr\u00e9e sur le th\u00e8me de l'environnement. <a href=\"\/\/www.woodvetia.ch\">#WOODVETIA<\/a> se trouvent des figurines grandeur nature de personnalit\u00e9s suisses. Chacune d'entre elles est r\u00e9alis\u00e9e dans une essence de bois provenant de la r\u00e9gion d'origine de la personne repr\u00e9sent\u00e9e. L'artiste zurichois Inigo Gheyselinck cr\u00e9e les statues en faisant appel \u00e0 diff\u00e9rents partenaires de la fili\u00e8re for\u00eat-bois. Des forestiers, des scieurs et des tourneurs participent notamment au processus artistique. La s\u00e9lection des statues a \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9e par un jury compos\u00e9 de repr\u00e9sentants de la fili\u00e8re for\u00eat-bois et de l'OFEV.<\/p>\n<p>La premi\u00e8re personnalit\u00e9 suisse \u00e0 entrer dans la ronde des personnages de #WOODVETIA est Marie Tussaud, la fondatrice du cabinet de figures de cire mondialement connu. La figurine a \u00e9t\u00e9 sculpt\u00e9e dans un tilleul d'hiver bernois. Selon ses dires, Tussaud est n\u00e9e \u00e0 Berne, m\u00eame si le lieu de naissance officiel est Strasbourg.<\/p>\n<p>Tout au long de l'ann\u00e9e, de nouvelles figures en bois sont r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement install\u00e9es dans l'espace public de toute la Suisse, de sorte que la population les rencontre dans des endroits surprenants. Les statues sont toujours librement accessibles. En effet, ce n'est que lorsque les gens touchent et sentent les statues qu'ils peuvent faire l'exp\u00e9rience sensorielle du bois, mati\u00e8re premi\u00e8re et mat\u00e9riau durable, et s'enthousiasmer pour lui. Fin 2017, toutes les statues - nous ne d\u00e9voilerons pas leur nombre - seront pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es ensemble \u00e0 Berne. D'autres informations sur le bois suisse y sont \u00e9galement rassembl\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Augmenter la demande de bois suisse<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La campagne #WOODVETIA vise \u00e0 encourager les consommateurs \u00e0 miser sur le bois suisse. Le \"Certificat d'origine bois suisse\" distingue ce mat\u00e9riau en un coup d'\u0153il. Ils doivent ainsi \u00eatre sensibilis\u00e9s au bois suisse lors de nouvelles constructions, de projets de transformation ou d'extension, d'am\u00e9nagements int\u00e9rieurs ou lors de l'achat de meubles. Ce n'est qu'ainsi que la cha\u00eene de cr\u00e9ation de valeur qui relie les \u00e9tapes de transformation du bois - de la for\u00eat aux clients finaux - peut rester intacte. Concr\u00e8tement : si la demande de bois suisse est \u00e9lev\u00e9e de la part de la population, les scieries en Suisse peuvent par exemple vendre beaucoup de bois suisse \u00e0 des acheteurs tels que des constructeurs en bois ou des menuisiers pour la transformation. En fin de compte, ce sont les propri\u00e9taires forestiers qui en profitent.
