L'autorisation de chasser permet d'exercer la chasse dans un canton ; son octroi reste du ressort des cantons. Dans tous les cantons, une condition pr\u00e9alable est la r\u00e9ussite de l'examen de chasse, pour lequel la Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration prescrira \u00e0 l'avenir aux cantons les domaines d'examen suivants : protection des esp\u00e8ces et des habitats, protection des animaux et maniement des armes, y compris la pr\u00e9cision du tir. Ces examens de chasse cantonaux, dont le contenu a \u00e9t\u00e9 uniformis\u00e9, devront \u00e0 l'avenir \u00eatre reconnus mutuellement par les cantons.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Esp\u00e8ces chassables et p\u00e9riodes de fermeture adapt\u00e9es<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Enfin, les dispositions relatives aux esp\u00e8ces chassables et \u00e0 leurs p\u00e9riodes de fermeture, modifi\u00e9es en 2012 par une r\u00e9vision de l'ordonnance sur la chasse, sont transf\u00e9r\u00e9es dans la loi et compl\u00e9t\u00e9es : le canard des marais, la perdrix grise et le gr\u00e8be hupp\u00e9 doivent d\u00e9sormais \u00eatre prot\u00e9g\u00e9s dans la loi.<\/p>\n<p>En outre, le corbeau freux doit \u00eatre d\u00e9clar\u00e9 chassable, les p\u00e9riodes de fermeture du sanglier et du cormoran doivent \u00eatre r\u00e9duites et une p\u00e9riode de fermeture doit \u00eatre accord\u00e9e \u00e0 toutes les esp\u00e8ces indig\u00e8nes.<\/p>\n<p>Le traitement des esp\u00e8ces non indig\u00e8nes doit \u00e9galement faire l'objet d'une nouvelle r\u00e9glementation. Ainsi, par exemple, le daim, le sika et le mouflon, qui b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaient jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent d'une p\u00e9riode de protection, pourront d\u00e9sormais \u00eatre chass\u00e9s toute l'ann\u00e9e, sur la base de la strat\u00e9gie de lutte contre les esp\u00e8ces exotiques envahissantes adopt\u00e9e par le Conseil f\u00e9d\u00e9ral le 18 mai 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Le 24 ao\u00fbt 2016, le Conseil f\u00e9d\u00e9ral a ouvert la proc\u00e9dure de consultation sur la loi r\u00e9vis\u00e9e sur la chasse.
