C'est notamment dans le canton du Tessin et \u00e0 moyenne altitude au nord des Alpes que les d\u00e9passements des valeurs limites ont \u00e9t\u00e9 les plus fr\u00e9quents.<\/p>\n<p>La valeur limite d'immission du dioxyde d'azote n'a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9pass\u00e9e en moyenne annuelle que le long des grands axes routiers tr\u00e8s fr\u00e9quent\u00e9s. Dans les zones urbaines et suburbaines, la pollution \u00e9tait proche ou inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 la valeur limite, tandis que dans les zones rurales, \u00e0 l'\u00e9cart des routes, elle \u00e9tait nettement inf\u00e9rieure.<\/p>\n<p>Aucun d\u00e9passement des valeurs limites n'a \u00e9t\u00e9 observ\u00e9 en 2015 pour le dioxyde de soufre, le monoxyde de carbone, les retomb\u00e9es de poussi\u00e8res et les m\u00e9taux lourds. L'exposition \u00e0 ces polluants est majoritairement bien inf\u00e9rieure aux valeurs limites.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La pollution de l'air a nettement diminu\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Si l'on consid\u00e8re les 25 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, la pollution de l'air par la plupart des polluants a nettement diminu\u00e9 : Ainsi, la pollution par les poussi\u00e8res fines et le dioxyde d'azote est nettement inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 ce qu'elle \u00e9tait en 1990. La pollution par le dioxyde de soufre est aujourd'hui inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 un dixi\u00e8me des valeurs mesur\u00e9es au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1980 ; le monoxyde de carbone, les compos\u00e9s organiques volatils, les m\u00e9taux lourds contenus dans les poussi\u00e8res fines et \u00e9galement le benz\u00e8ne canc\u00e9rig\u00e8ne sont \u00e9galement en recul.<\/p>\n<p>Seule l'ozone n'a pas connu de baisse significative.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectif pas encore atteint<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bien que des progr\u00e8s importants aient \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es dans le domaine du maintien de la puret\u00e9 de l'air, l'objectif l\u00e9gal d'un air pur est encore loin d'\u00eatre atteint.
