Il termine \"social commerce\" comprende l'intera esperienza di shopping di una persona, dalla scoperta del prodotto alla transazione finale di acquisto, che avviene su una piattaforma di social media. Il 54% degli utenti dei social media intervistati ha espresso il desiderio di sostenere le piccole e medie imprese quando acquistano tramite i siti di commercio sociale. Allo stesso tempo, il 64% e il 57% degli intervistati hanno detto che preferiscono comprare qualcosa per se stessi quando comprano tramite piattaforme di commercio sociale, tenendo conto degli stessi venditori o influencer. Sta emergendo un ecosistema dinamico in cui interagiscono piattaforme, marketplace, social media e influencer. I dati e le competenze dovrebbero essere condivisi.
