(Immagine: Empa)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I ricercatori dell'Empa hanno migliorato ancora una volta l'efficienza delle celle solari CIGS flessibili. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.organisator.ch\/de\/sustainability\/2021-09-07\/neuer-wirkungsgradrekord-bei-flexiblen-solarzellen\/\">Gi\u00e0 l'anno scorso \u00e8 stato registrato un record<\/a>. Le misurazioni, certificate da enti indipendenti, hanno mostrato un valore di 22,2% nella conversione della luce in elettricit\u00e0, migliorando il precedente valore record di 21,4%. A titolo di confronto, l'efficienza massima di una cella solare rigida in silicio cristallino \u00e8 di 26,7%. Il team guidato da Romain Carron, capogruppo del Laboratorio Empa per le Pellicole Sottili e il Fotovoltaico sotto la direzione di Ayodhya N. Tiwari, ha presentato i suoi ultimi risultati alla \"8th World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion\" (WCPEC-8) a Milano il 26 settembre 2022.<\/p>\n<h3>Il sottile strato di semiconduttori \u00e8 stato nuovamente ottimizzato<\/h3>\n<p>Le celle solari flessibili sono lavorate su un film polimerico con uno strato semiconduttore che assorbe la luce, costituito da un composto di rame-indio-gadolinio-selenio. Questo strato minerale viene depositato mediante un processo di co-evaporazione a bassa temperatura. Shiro Nishiwaki, scienziato dell'Empa, ha modificato la composizione dello strato per migliorare le prestazioni e la tensione di uscita delle celle. \"Due diversi approcci all'alligazione del cristallo hanno portato a miglioramenti simili nelle prestazioni del dispositivo\", spiega Romain Carron. Pertanto, i risultati possono essere trasferiti su scala industriale in modi diversi ma con risultati equivalenti.
