L'energia geotermica superficiale o vicina alla superficie raggiunge una profondit\u00e0 di circa 500 metri. Il calore pu\u00f2 essere usato per riscaldare e raffreddare case mono e plurifamiliari, hotel, uffici o imprese commerciali e industriali. In Svizzera, le sonde geotermiche sono particolarmente diffuse. Le applicazioni sono estremamente diverse. Anche i terminali degli aeroporti (Dock E all'aeroporto di Zurigo-Kloten) usano l'energia geotermica. E: anche i punti e le strade possono essere sbrinati con l'energia geotermica. Le FFS stanno testando sistemi di riscaldamento a punti alimentati da energia geotermica.<\/p>\n<p><strong>L'energia geotermica \u00e8 protezione del clima<br \/>\n<\/strong>Per ridurre le emissioni di CO<sub>2<\/sub>-emissioni degli edifici, sempre pi\u00f9 privati, cos\u00ec come citt\u00e0 e comuni, si rivolgono all'energia geotermica. Questo si riflette anche nelle statistiche. Dal 2000 al 2017, la produzione di calore da energia geotermica in Svizzera \u00e8 cresciuta del 348 per cento, da 1186 a 4130 gigawattora. La produzione di calore dagli scambiatori di calore del pozzo \u00e8 addirittura aumentata del 485%.
