(Immagine: SBB\/CFF\/FFS)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Per garantire la sicurezza delle operazioni ferroviarie, le FFS devono costantemente controllare e regolare la vegetazione nell'area dei suoi oltre 7600 chilometri di binari. Tra l'altro, il diserbante glifosato \u00e8 usato per questo scopo. Ad oggi, questo erbicida \u00e8 l'unico principio attivo approvato in Svizzera per il controllo della vegetazione nelle vicinanze degli impianti ferroviari.<\/p>\n<h3>Soluzioni innovative in fase di test<\/h3>\n<p>In collaborazione con specialisti esterni, diverse soluzioni innovative per il controllo della vegetazione sono state testate dal 2018. Gi\u00e0 oggi \u00e8 chiaro che, a causa della diversit\u00e0 delle condizioni naturali e strutturali lungo le linee ferroviarie, non sar\u00e0 utilizzata una sola soluzione.<\/p>\n<p>Un possibile metodo per controllare le erbacce nell'area della pista \u00e8 l'uso di un veicolo che spruzza acqua calda. Negli ultimi mesi, le FFS hanno sviluppato appositamente un veicolo di prova che ha una funzione di riconoscimento delle piante e viene utilizzato per distruggere la vegetazione indesiderata.<\/p>\n<p>Le FFS prepareranno una valutazione del ciclo di vita per i vari metodi di controllo della vegetazione attualmente in fase di test. Ci\u00f2 garantir\u00e0 che i nuovi metodi siano pi\u00f9 rispettosi dell'ambiente rispetto alla procedura utilizzata fino ad oggi.
