Il fotovoltaico (PV) gioca quindi un ruolo importante nell'espansione della produzione interna di elettricit\u00e0 rinnovabile. Nel 2050, potrebbe fornire circa 34 terawattora (TWh) all'anno, secondo l'Ufficio federale dell'energia (UFE). Secondo l'UFE, il potenziale totale della produzione di energia solare su e per gli edifici \u00e8 di 67 TWh all'anno, di cui 50 TWh sui tetti e 17 TWh sulle facciate. Gli impianti installati in Svizzera alla fine del 2019 producono circa 2,5 TWh di elettricit\u00e0 solare all'anno, di cui 0,7 TWh o circa 27% nel semestre invernale.<\/p>\n<p>Il rapporto appena adottato dal Consiglio federale\u00a0<a href=\"\/\/www.umweltperspektiven.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/\u00abStromerzeugung-im-Winter-dank-Photovoltaik\u00bb.pdf\">\"Generare elettricit\u00e0 in inverno grazie al fotovoltaico\"<\/a>\u00a0studia come la scelta di aree specifiche, la posizione geografica (Altopiano centrale o regioni alpine), il tipo di installazione (piatta o inclinata) influenzino la produzione di elettricit\u00e0 solare in inverno e l'efficienza economica dei sistemi.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Fotovoltaico: aumento possibile in inverno senza grandi costi aggiuntivi<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Secondo il rapporto, la quota invernale della produzione fotovoltaica potrebbe essere aumentata: Un'ottimizzazione delle aree di costruzione utilizzate sarebbe possibile da 27% di oggi a 30% senza grandi costi aggiuntivi. Per ottenere questo risultato, bisognerebbe installare pi\u00f9 impianti fotovoltaici sulle facciate esposte a sud. Tali sistemi di facciata non vengono quasi mai costruiti oggi. L'aggiunta di sistemi di facciata potrebbe essere promossa, per esempio, attraverso un pagamento una tantum pi\u00f9 elevato, simile a quello attuale per i sistemi integrati, come scrive il Consiglio federale. Dei 34 TWh di elettricit\u00e0 solare nel 2050, circa 10 TWh potrebbero essere prodotti in inverno. Un aumento della quota invernale fino a 35% sarebbe teoricamente possibile.
