Misure indipendenti hanno rivelato un valore di 21,4 % quando questo tipo di cella solare converte la luce in elettricit\u00e0. In confronto, la migliore efficienza di una cella solare convenzionale (non flessibile) fatta di silicio cristallino \u00e8 26,7 %.<\/p>\n<p>I dettagli del risultato della ricerca saranno presentati da Romain Carron, capogruppo del Laboratorio di pellicole sottili e fotovoltaico dell'Empa diretto da Ayodhya N. Tiwari, il 7 settembre 2021 al \"38\u00b0 European Photovoltaic Solar Energy and Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC)\", che si tiene praticamente quest'anno.<\/p>\n<p>Le celle solari flessibili ad alta efficienza sono prodotte su un film polimerico utilizzando un metodo di evaporazione a bassa temperatura. Con la loro profonda conoscenza della tecnologia e dei processi fisici sottostanti, hanno raggiunto diversi record di efficienza nel corso degli anni. Hanno iniziato con 12,8 % nel 1999, hanno raggiunto 14,1 % (2005), 17,6 % (2010), 18,7 % (2011), 20,4% (2013) e 20,8 % nel 2019.<\/p>\n<p>I moduli solari flessibili e leggeri con questa tecnologia sono particolarmente adatti per applicazioni su tetti e facciate di edifici, per serre, veicoli di trasporto, dirigibili ed elettronica portatile.
