Questo perch\u00e9 sotto il sito si sta costruendo un sistema sperimentale di stoccaggio di energia stagionale, che fornir\u00e0 energia non solo ai nuovi edifici, ma anche all'intero sito dell'Empa. In estate, per esempio, il calore di scarto della ventilazione e delle attrezzature di laboratorio sar\u00e0 immagazzinato in modo che possa essere utilizzato in inverno per il riscaldamento o per la produzione di acqua calda sanitaria. L'obiettivo \u00e8 quello di utilizzare circa 90% del calore residuo generato direttamente o di immagazzinarlo temporaneamente nel deposito sotterraneo. In questo modo, l'Empa mira a ridurre le emissioni di CO<sub>2<\/sub>-emissioni dei loro edifici al minimo e quindi porre una pietra miliare importante per un futuro energetico sostenibile.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2><strong>Temperature massime fino a 50 gradi<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Per dieci anni, l'Empa pu\u00f2 utilizzare l'impianto di accumulo di calore principalmente per scopi di ricerca. Il serbatoio di calore - un campo di sonde geotermiche con un gradiente di temperatura - comprende 144 sonde geotermiche che arrivano fino a 100 metri di profondit\u00e0 nel terreno. A questa profondit\u00e0, l'accumulatore funziona in modo particolarmente efficace, perdendo solo una piccola parte del calore immagazzinato nell'ambiente. Al centro del campo dello scambiatore di calore del pozzo, le temperature massime possono raggiungere i 50\u00b0C, mentre ai bordi i valori sono intorno ai 10\u00b0C. Utilizzando un sistema di tubi, \u00e8 possibile controllare ogni tubo della sonda geotermica individualmente o anche aree definite e ottenere cos\u00ec il mix ottimale tra temperatura, efficienza e accumulo di energia.<\/p>\n<p>Anche se un tale serbatoio di terra \u00e8 molto efficace, \u00e8 anche lento a causa della sua grande massa.
