Questo permette una \"cella solare tandem\" a due stadi con una maggiore efficienza.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Ci\u00f2 che va bene per i rasoi a doppia lama vale anche per le celle solari: due fasi di lavoro sono pi\u00f9 approfondite.  Se si mettono due celle solari una sopra l'altra, una delle quali \u00e8 semitrasparente, allora una proporzione maggiore dell'energia luminosa pu\u00f2 essere convertita in elettricit\u00e0. Fino ad ora, questa complessa tecnologia \u00e8 stata utilizzata principalmente per i viaggi nello spazio. Le cosiddette celle tandem erano troppo costose per la produzione di massa. Un team dell'Empa guidato da Stephan B\u00fccheler e Ayodhya N. Tiwari del Laboratory for Thin Films and Photovoltaics \u00e8 ora riuscito a produrre una cella solare tandem economica che pu\u00f2 essere applicata a film plastici flessibili. Un'importante pietra miliare per la produzione di massa di celle solari altamente efficienti \u00e8 stata cos\u00ec raggiunta.<\/p>\n<p>Il clou del nuovo processo: I ricercatori producono lo strato aggiuntivo della cella solare in un processo a bassa temperatura a soli 50 gradi Celsius. Questo promette una fase di produzione a risparmio energetico ed economico per i futuri processi di produzione. Subito dopo, la cella solare tandem ha raggiunto un'efficienza del 20,5% nel convertire la luce in elettricit\u00e0. Questo lo mette alla pari con le migliori celle solari flessibili prodotte nel mondo fino ad oggi. Ma il suo potenziale \u00e8 lungi dall'essere esaurito, come sottolineano i ricercatori dell'Empa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Palloni molecolari come base <\/strong><br \/>\nLa chiave del doppio successo \u00e8 stato lo sviluppo di una cella solare semitrasparente fatta di ioduro di piombo di metil ammonio, che si deposita sotto forma di piccoli cristalli di perovskite. Una sostanza con l'abbreviazione PCBM (phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester) serve come base per la perovskite. Ogni molecola di PCBM contiene 61 atomi di carbonio che sono legati insieme a forma di pallone. La perovskite \u00e8 depositata a vapore \"tiepido\", per cos\u00ec dire, su questo strato di calcio. Questo cristallo magico assorbe i raggi UV e la parte blu della luce visibile e li trasforma in elettricit\u00e0. La luce rossa e la radiazione infrarossa, invece, passano attraverso il cristallo. In questo modo, i ricercatori possono disporre un'altra cella solare sotto la cella di perovskite semitrasparente, che converte la luce rimanente in elettricit\u00e0.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Usare lo spettro della luce solare<\/strong><br \/>\nI ricercatori dell'Empa usano una cella CIGS (rame indio gallio diselenide) come strato inferiore della cella solare tandem - una tecnologia che il team ha studiato per anni.
