Secondo le organizzazioni ambientaliste, l'aumento del muro della diga avrebbe beneficiato solo marginalmente della produzione di energia.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\u00c8 ormai chiaro che la concessione per l'innalzamento della diga di Grimsel non sar\u00e0 rilasciata con la Protezione costituzionale delle torbiere<\/a> L'Associazione Grimsel, il WWF e Pro Natura hanno scritto in un comunicato stampa congiunto. Le associazioni ambientaliste sono sollevate per questa decisione, con la quale il tribunale ha protetto le brughiere e la Moorland<\/a> sul Grimsel contro le inondazioni e sostenere cos\u00ec la protezione delle torbiere in tutta la Svizzera. Le brughiere, di cui rimangono pochi esemplari in Svizzera, sono habitat particolarmente preziosi per specie animali e vegetali rare e degne di protezione. Se la distruzione del paesaggio palustre sul Grimsel fosse stata permessa, questo avrebbe minato la protezione delle paludi in tutta la Svizzera, continua.<\/p>\n

Da un punto di vista ambientale, la rinuncia all'ampliamento del serbatoio della centrale di Oberhasli (Informazioni dal KWO<\/a>) nessuna perdita. Secondo Pro Natura, l'innalzamento della diga non produrrebbe elettricit\u00e0 supplementare. Il previsto spostamento della produzione dall'estate all'inverno riguarderebbe solo una piccola frazione del consumo annuale di elettricit\u00e0 della Svizzera, scrive l'organizzazione. Secondo KWO, il serbatoio pi\u00f9 grande avrebbe permesso di utilizzare meglio l'acqua per la produzione di elettricit\u00e0 nel corso dell'anno.<\/p>\n
