Swiss Post Cybersecurity Hack'Events: Concrete measures instead of scaremongering
Cybersecurity without alarmism: Swiss Post Cybersecurity's Hack'Events 2026 will bring experts together in Zurich, Geneva and Lugano in June. The focus is on practical solutions, current threat scenarios and genuine knowledge transfer - instead of fear scenarios.
Cybersecurity is often characterized by complexity and alarmism. The Hack'Events 2026 organized by Swiss Post Cybersecurity take a deliberately different approach: Under the motto «Taking cybersecurity seriously, but not ourselves», they invite specialists to a practical and stimulating exchange. The events will take place in Zurich, Geneva and Lugano in June and will provide participants with in-depth insights into current trends and developments in cybersecurity.
The Limmat'Hack will kick off on June 2 in Zurich. The aim of the series of events is to make the cyber world more tangible again and to focus on what really matters: concrete measures, relevant threat scenarios and genuine knowledge transfer. The Genev'Hack in Geneva will follow on June 9 and the Lugano'Hack on June 16.
«Cyber security is a key issue that requires our full attention. However, it is often characterized by fear scenarios. We want to make cybersecurity more accessible again - free from exaggerated scaremongering,» explains Paul Such, CEO of Swiss Post Cybersecurity. «Instead of stirring up fear, we focus on practical solutions and the issues that really affect the industry.»
Focus on practice: learning, testing, networking
The Hack'Events offer a varied program that is specifically tailored to the needs of company security managers. In addition to a high-caliber keynote speech and topical specialist presentations, participants receive exclusive insights into the current Threat Landscape Report - the status report on Swiss cyber security with analyses, expert opinions, trends and recommendations for action.
Bob Lord - cybersecurity expert and consultant, former CISO of Yahoo and founder of Hacklore.org - will be the keynote speaker in Zurich and Geneva. As one of the most prominent voices in the industry, in his presentation «Hacklore and Secure by Design: How Stories Affect Our Safety» he will shed light on how narratives and mindsets shape our security culture and why responsibility must be more firmly anchored in software manufacturers. At Lugano'Hack, Marcel Zumbühl, CISO of Swiss Post, will give the keynote speech and show how human behavior and technology influence cybersecurity.
Another highlight in Zurich and Geneva is the «Capture the Flag» format: participants can put their skills to the test in realistic scenarios and learn new attack patterns and defense strategies at the same time. Well-known security manufacturers round off the Hack'Events program with presentations and information stands. The program also offers numerous networking opportunities with industry experts to discuss the challenges and prospects of cyber security.
Top-class speakers and sponsors
Renowned companies and experts take part in the events. Sponsors are HarfangLab, Elastic, Tenable, Vectra and Ergon (Airlock). Speakers include Sander Hofman (Solution Engineer, HarfangLab) with the presentation «Defending against legitimate tools. How to protect yourself when attackers reuse your own tools?», Thomas Cueni (Tenable) with «How to prepare for the flood of new vulnerabilities found by AI», Emmanuel Schmid (Senior Security Engineer, Swiss Post Cybersecurity) with «Every public OT breach is a free lesson: Are you taking notes?», Sven Kirchmayer (Senior Solution Architect, Elastic) with «What happens when the attacker's AI works harder than your entire SOC?» and Antony Ancelin (Technical Lead Incident Response, Swiss Post Cybersecurity) with «From Detection to Crisis Management: A Real SOC & CSIRT Story».
