HR Path, a leading global provider of HR consulting, HR technology implementation, and HR outsourcing, has announced a transaction worth nearly 1 billion U.S. dollars. The financing round is led by the international investment firm Ardian, based on a valuation of nearly 1 billion U.S. dollars. The funds are intended to accelerate international expansion, continue the acquisition strategy, and sustainably strengthen the company’s presence in strategic markets—including Switzerland.
Strong growth on a global scale
Since its founding in 2001, HR Path has been helping companies worldwide transform their HR functions. Its integrated service portfolio encompasses three areas: consulting (Advise), implementation (Implement), and outsourcing (Outsource). Over the past two years, the group has grown by nearly 70 percent—driven by organic growth and a consistent international acquisition strategy. Today, HR Path generates annual revenue of 360 million euros, employs approximately 2,600 people in 30 countries, and supports companies with a combined workforce of more than 20 million employees worldwide.
Switzerland as a Strategic Growth Market
In Switzerland, HR Path significantly strengthened its market position through the acquisition of smahrt consulting in 2025. This move specifically expanded the company’s local expertise in the areas of HR consulting, implementation, and outsourcing—particularly with regard to SAP HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, and other leading HR technologies. Local clients include numerous public-sector organizations, such as cantons and hospitals, as well as leading national and international companies.
Angelo Gallo, Partner at HR Path Switzerland, emphasizes the strategic importance of the market: «Switzerland is a strategic growth market for HR Path. Today, companies expect far more than just the implementation of new technologies; they are looking for a partner who creates sustainable value and provides comprehensive support throughout the transformation process. With this investment, we are strengthening our local expertise, making targeted investments in our employees, and laying the groundwork to continue successfully supporting our clients in their HR transformations in the future.»
Expansion of the HR IT Platform in Switzerland
With this transaction, HR Path plans to further expand its investments in the Swiss market. The company intends to strategically expand its local teams, strengthen its expertise in SAP, Workday, and other leading HR technologies, and provide more comprehensive support to companies in their national and international transformation programs. Switzerland plays a key role in HR Path’s DACH strategy. The goal is to further strengthen its position as one of the leading HR transformation partners in the Swiss market—from strategic consulting and implementation to the operation and continuous optimization of HR and finance solutions.
Ato Anderson, Partner at HR Path Switzerland, is optimistic about the next phase of growth: «The successful integration of smahrt consulting has shown that HR Path in Switzerland has the right combination of local expertise, strong teams, and international strength. With this additional funding, we will further expand this position and actively shape the next phase of growth.»
With a presence in 30 countries, HR Path is pursuing a long-term growth strategy and continuously strengthening its international presence. Switzerland will play a central role in the Group’s further expansion in the DACH region.
