Debrunner Metallservice Strengthens Its Menziken Location
At its Menziken, Aargau, facility, Debrunner Metallservice AG invested in a new slitting line. With this move, the company is solidifying its position as Switzerland’s center of excellence for aluminum sheet metal.
Debrunner Metallservice AG, a member of the Debrunner Koenig Group, has commissioned a new slitting line at its Menziken, AG, facility. „With this major investment, we are further expanding our position as a Swiss center of excellence for aluminum sheet processing,“ says Reto Caprez, Managing Director and member of the Debrunner Koenig Group Executive Board. The line cuts large rolls of aluminum strip—known as „coils“—transversely into individual sheets. These sheets are used, for example, in mechanical and plant engineering, the automotive industry, the construction industry, and the food and packaging industries.
Part of a major investment program
The new cross-cutting line required additional investments. „While the two previous lines were designed for 2.5-metric-ton coils, the new line processes coils weighing up to 5 metric tons,“ says Reto Caprez. This required a new crane, a new forklift, and a larger coil storage area.
On September 24, 2026, Debrunner Metallservice inaugurated the cross-cutting line during a customer and partner event that included a plant tour and an entertainment program. Debrunner Metallservice AG recently invested in a new panel saw, a new band saw, a new circular saw, and a longitudinal cutting line. The cross-cutting line continues this series of investments in Switzerland as a manufacturing hub.
