Opacc at Orthotec: New ERP System Now in Use
Greater Efficiency Amid High Complexity: Orthotec Relys on Opacc’s ERP System to Successfully Integrate All Core Processes.

On June 18, 2026, users of Opacc’s ERP software gathered at the Swiss Paraplegic Center (SPZ) in Nottwil and gained insight into how Orthotec uses the system. Poor master data quality was a key factor in the decision to implement Opacc. At the same time, Orthotec saw this as an opportunity to shift from a departmental mindset to a process-oriented one. That is why the company decided to invest in a comprehensive ERP and CRM solution. The project was launched in 2021, and the system went live in 2022.
Today, Opacc can meet most of Orthotec’s needs from a single source: quote and order processing, pricing, contact management, inventory management, and data management. For specific applications, such as accounting (Abacus) and the warehouse system (Lista-Paternoster), corresponding interfaces have been set up to ensure seamless process execution. Currently, approximately 100 employees process 27,000 customer orders, consisting of 17,000 sales orders for incontinence and daily living aids and 10,000 manufacturing orders.
During a tour, the 60 or so participants were impressed by the software’s capabilities, especially given the high level of complexity in Orthotec’s operational landscape, with its five different service areas. While the continence products division has a high volume of material turnover, the situation is quite different for the wheelchair workshop or the vehicle conversion division, for example: there, production is on a «batch size 1» basis. The experience with Opacc has been predominantly positive, even though it required a shift in mindset among employees in many areas. However, noticeable increases in efficiency have now led to a high level of acceptance of the system among all users. The improved efficiency of the processes is clearly evident and has an impact on resource planning.
Through the use case at Orthotec, Opacc Software was able to demonstrate the full capabilities of its ERP and CRM solutions. Orthotec is currently evaluating further expansion steps, such as the introduction of modules for digital business. And Orthotec CEO Stefan Dürger has another major request: an integrated quality management system—preferably as another module from Opacc … (thb)
