Lots of recycling, little circularity
We continue to collect used glass in an exemplary manner. Hardly any other country achieves comparable collection and sorting rates. What hardly anyone realizes is that all used glass is now shipped abroad for further processing. The closed-loop glass recycling system effectively no longer exists.
