Novistore.ch is one of Temu's first Swiss partners

The Swiss online store Novistore.ch - specializing in office supplies, stationery, electronics and more - has been one of the first local retailers to be listed on the international e-commerce platform Temu since December 2025. «Local-to-Local»: Temu's strategy for Europe

With its «local-to-local» initiative, the Chinese e-commerce group Temu wants to integrate local retailers into its ecosystem in a targeted manner. The declared aim is for up to 80% of sales in Europe to be handled by local sellers and shipping centers in the future. The platform has been officially open to Swiss retailers since September 2025 - initially with a focus on the Swiss market, with plans to expand to other European markets.

The requirements for participation are high: the platform sets non-negotiable standards in terms of data protection, product placement, certification and pricing. Those who meet these requirements gain access to a large international customer base. Temu and the local retailers hope that the strategy will result in shorter delivery routes and an improved image in Switzerland and Europe - where criticism of cheap imports is becoming increasingly loud.

Supplement, not a replacement

CEO Daniel Lauper, who has over 30 years of experience in trading with Far Eastern suppliers and runs his own purchasing office in Dongguan, China, emphasizes the strategic positioning of the partnership: «The best value for money for Swiss customers is still to be found in our own web stores and not necessarily on international trading platforms such as Temu.» Novistore.ch expressly sees its collaboration with Temu as a supplement to its own direct sales - for the benefit of discerning and quality-conscious Swiss consumers.
