Cornerstone, one of the world's leading providers of cloud-based talent and learning management solutions, presents Cornerstone Workforce AI, a new AI-supported platform. It links internal employee data with external labor market data and translates this into specific recommendations for action - with the aim of supporting companies in developing a future-proof workforce.

People Graph and Skills Engine at the heart

At the heart of the platform are two core components: the Cornerstone People Graph, which links skills, employee and labor market data, and the Cornerstone Skills Engine, a system for analyzing, evaluating and developing skills. Together, they combine two decades of anonymized employee data from 45 million users, terabytes of labor market information, a structured skills model with over 55,000 recorded skills and more than one billion employee profiles. Combined with data from internal company core systems, this forms the basis for well-founded decisions in all HR processes.

Three modular packages for different maturity levels

Cornerstone Workforce AI is divided into three modules that companies can use flexibly depending on their organizational maturity. The «Learning Management & Dynamic Content» package forms the learning basis for compliance training and talent development. It includes role-based learning programs, AI-supported learning assistants and a Cornerstone subscription for learning content. Companies with external training needs can also make the learning experience available to customers, partners and extended workforces.

The Talent Development & Skill Optimization module supports the entire employee lifecycle - from skills development to performance management, succession planning and recruiting. The integrated Cornerstone Skills Architect continuously creates and maintains the job architecture, derives skills from real work and learning data and identifies skill gaps at individual, team and organizational level.

The third package, «Workforce Intelligence», includes the People Graph for the dynamic recording of employee data in real time, the Skills Architect for skills analyses based on current labor market data and integration options in existing systems.

Agent-based architecture for operational implementation

A key feature of the platform is its agent-based architecture. It makes it possible to overcome complex challenges without long implementation phases and to translate findings directly into measures. For companies at the beginning of their workforce readiness journey, preconfigured AI agents offer a quick start. For organizations at a more advanced stage, adaptive agents are available to support goal alignment, internal mobility, workforce planning, onboarding and cost optimization.

Where pre-configured agents are not sufficient for specific requirements, individual agents can be developed - for example for compliance in regulated industries, sales support or the integration of proprietary competence models. The implementation is carried out in close cooperation with Cornerstone's engineering team.
