onesto and Edi Create a Seamless Business Travel Process
Onesto, a software specialist in business travel management, and Edi – Expense Intelligence, a provider of digital travel expense reporting, will be collaborating in the future. The new partnership integrates travel requests, bookings, and expense reporting into a seamless, cross-platform data flow—thereby eliminating manual duplicate data entry throughout the entire business travel process.

According to the latest VDR Business Travel Analysis 2026, transaction fees and the complexity of hotel billing are among the biggest cost drivers in business travel management. At the same time, automated processes and high data quality are becoming increasingly important. In many companies, relevant business travel data is still processed in different systems without data transfer—resulting in significant effort and a high risk of errors.
End-to-End Process from Application to Billing
Thanks to the new partnership between onesto and Edi, business travel requests, bookings, management, and reimbursement are seamlessly integrated. All travel and booking data can be automatically transferred from onesto to the expense reporting system in Edi. Companies benefit from optimized data exchange between the two systems, thereby eliminating manual steps and duplicate data entry.
Depending on a company’s requirements, the business travel process can begin as early as the travel request stage in Edi. Once approved, the request data is automatically transferred to onesto and serves as the basis for the booking. Companies that use onesto’s own travel request form can continue their existing process as usual. Once the booking is complete, all relevant travel and booking data is automatically transmitted to Edi, where it is available for travel expense reimbursement. The integration also supports the automatic exchange of cost centers, employee profiles, and other master data.
Voices from the Companies
«In many companies today, travel data is still entered multiple times—in the travel request, during booking, and again later in the reimbursement process,» says Dominik Palicki, CEO of onesto. «Thanks to the partnership with Edi, these process steps are now integrated. Information is automatically transferred, eliminating the need for duplicate data entry and making the entire business travel process more efficient.»
Fabrice Bircher, CEO of Edi, adds: «The avoidable costs don’t arise during the trip itself, but rather in the processes before and after it. It is precisely these two ends of the process that we are now connecting with onesto. An approved request leads directly to a booking—and the booking, without any manual data entry, leads to a verified invoice.»
The companies behind the partnership
onesto offers a digital platform for business travel and has developed a web-based business travel management system that connects companies with their travel agencies and travel service providers. The independent technology provider, headquartered in Aichach, covers the entire business travel process—from planning and booking to expense reporting. Hosting via its own data centers in Germany and ongoing ISO certifications ensure high security standards. The company dates back to the year 2000; since 2007, both the company and the platform have been known as onesto.
Edi – Expense Intelligence is a global travel and expense intelligence solution that helps over 750 companies worldwide manage travel, corporate cards, and travel expenses intelligently. The platform provides an aggregated view of transaction costs and e-invoices, automatically verifies hotel invoices, and detects policy violations in real time. Through AI-powered receipt recognition, automatic categorization, credit card reconciliation, and rule-based compliance checks, Edi significantly reduces manual effort in finance, HR, and travel processes.
